What we do with what you write to us
This site stores nothing. What you send us lands in a mailbox, and that processing is what this page describes, under the General Data Protection Regulation. This English page is a courtesy translation; the French page is the legally operative one.
Controller
SKB de Farcheville, Château de Farcheville, 91880 Bouville, reachable at contact@chateaudefarcheville.com or on +33 1 60 80 63 64.
The data concerned
What you choose to write to us: your name, your email address, your telephone number if you give it, the offer you are interested in, a date or period, a number of guests, and the text of your message. The form on this site only opens your mail application with these elements pre-filled. It sends them to no server.
Why, and on what basis
To answer your inquiry, offer you dates and, if you wish, prepare a quote and a contract. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request (article 6.1.b of the Regulation). We do not ask your consent for this, and we will send you no messages other than those answering your inquiry.
Who receives it
The château's team that handles inquiries, and the provider that hosts our mailbox, OVHcloud (OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France). The data is neither sold nor passed to other third parties. Inquiries about the gîte are handled by the same team.
The site's host, Cloudflare, Inc., established in the United States, sees the connection data needed to serve and protect the pages (IP address, browser, pages requested), never the content of the form, which does not pass through the site. That passage rests on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Cloudflare, Inc. adheres.
Your data is not transferred outside the European Union: OVHcloud hosts its mail service in its data centres in France.
For how long
Three years from your last contact with us if your inquiry does not lead to a stay or an event. If it does, the contract documents are kept for the periods French commercial and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You may ask for access to the data concerning you, its rectification, its erasure, the restriction of its processing, its portability, and object to its processing. Write to contact@chateaudefarcheville.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, cnil.fr. Giving us your details is not an obligation. Without them we simply cannot answer you. No automated decision is taken on the basis of your data.
Cookies and audience measurement
No cookie, no tracker, no audience measurement, no third-party content loaded from another address. The typefaces are served by this site.
Changes
This page is updated if the processing changes. The date below is that of the version in force.
Last updated: 5 September 2026. The legal notice completes this page.
